Giant Flowered Crocus ‘Ruby Giant’ is ideal for naturalising in lawns or beneath trees, producing striking purple-mauve blooms on slender stems from late winter onwards. Among the first flowers to appear each year, they emerge just after snowdrops have finished flowering, making them perfect for planting together. They look especially effective scattered through grassy areas, under shrubs, or in woodland-style gardens.
The deep purple blooms arise from unassuming clumps of grass like foliage. Crocus are perhaps one of the best early flowering spring plants to have, creating a blast of seasonal colour when little else is in bloom. They can also be used in planters and window boxes as well as allowed to naturalise where ever you plant them to provide displays year after year.
