Our Chicken Coop Chips are one of our BEST SELLING PRODUCTS at Dandys!

They’re a mixture of chipped hard woods that provide a hardwearing, clean base for your poultry run or coop.  The smell of the chipped wood is great for keeping your coop fresh - chickens love to scratch in it too!  The chips help keep the floor warm and dry during the winter.

All of our barks and mulches are sold in bulk bags that hold approximately 1 cubic metre/1000ltrs, 750ltrs or 500ltr.

You can also buy most of our barks and mulches in handy, easy to carry 50ltr sacks which are great for storing ready for top ups or in case you need to carry the product to areas not handily accessible by wheelbarrow!

Delivery is currently between 2 - 10 working days depending on your location and the products you wish to order - please select an option at the Checkout. 

We use a variety of delivery vehicles and haulage firms to complete our deliveries.

If you live in or near Chester, we'll deliver to you ourselves with a HGV crane, if you live elsewhere in the UK we'll use a pallet network who will use a manually operated pallet truck to move the pallet of bag(s) to the kerbside or onto a level, solid surface such as a tarmac drive (not gravel or grass sorry).

Shipping is free to Chester and some North Wales postcodes - outside of this area prices start at £14.94.

Excellent chicken coop chips

We ordered the chicken coop chips for our run as it was bare earth after the chickens had eaten the grass. It was raining a lot so had turned into mud meaning it was really slippy and smelt really bad. We laid the chicken coop chips down and it is so much better, really clean, no mud or slipping, the smell has completely gone and the chickens love kicking through it. We will be ordering again in a few years once these need topping up!

Good product

The woodchips were perfect for my chickens and the delivery driver went out of his way to deliver them exactly where I needed them. Only slight grouch was the length of time it took to process the order.
