HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver

Location: Dandy's, Chester

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 45 to 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Days Only

Additional Hours: Rota Saturday Mornings for 8 months of the year

Salary: £39,000

Job Description:

Dandy's is seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our team in Chester. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy goods vehicles, specifically Hiab crane trucks, and will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate HGV Class 2 Hiab trucks for the delivery of materials.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery to various local and occasional distant locations.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and customer documentation.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
  • Assist with other duties as required, including occasional warehouse work.

Qualifications:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  • HIAB licence and experience operating cranes.
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Clean driving record with a thorough understanding of road safety and regulations.
  • Previous experience driving tipper trucks is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours are 45 to 50 per week, from Monday to Friday, during daytime hours.
  • Rota for Saturday mornings for 8 months of the year.
  • No night shifts or overnight stays required.
  • Primarily local work, with occasional longer-distance deliveries.

Benefits:
